Blessings, I'm Lawrence, cofounder of Bible Chat. Bible Chat was started 6 years ago by me and my dear friend Marius. We started this project with the intent of easing human suffering, as much as possible. This was after a period of very difficult introspection and sadness, caused by a whirlwind of negative events in my life.
The Purpose of My Life
At the end of 2018, everything was going wrong, from personal to professional. All aspects of my life were turned upside down. This was compounded by the fact that I was supposed to feel accomplished. I was 28 and successful financially. I achieved what I've always wanted. But my goals were material. I had escaped my childhood poverty which was a real burden for me. But I did not escape my own mindset. My entire life compass was wrong. I wasn't focused on the important things. What I lacked was an acceptance of suffering and having a purpose for my life. I think comprehending the meaning of suffering coupled with an understanding of one's own life purpose function as the best antidote against mental turmoil.
I believe coming to peace through acceptance and finding your life's purpose are directly connected to spiritual growth. I realize many people are going through something similar to what I experienced back in 2018. I believe through the Bible, people can find comfort and solace in their darkest of times
Spiritual Growth
Christians are always looking to guide their lives according to God's Word and we can make that process dramatically easier for them. In 2019, we started developing a reading app designed to help people read and grow, both spiritually and intellectually. Working on it, God guided us to an alternative: create an easier way for people to study the Bible by using the newest technology available.
This took a lot of work, experimenting and considerable financial investments from myself and people who trust in our work. We're incredibly glad we've managed to create an app that is used by millions of Christians. We're seeing the spiritual growth, Biblical knowledge and peace our app creates in the hearts of so many around the world. We feel humbled and blessed to be able to make a positive impact on countless lives worldwide. With your help, I hope one day we'll be able to serve a billion Christians.
