Together with 35 volunteers from Suceava, Sibiu, and Bucharest, we managed to deliver approximately 930 gifts to disadvantaged children in the Brăduț commune – Doboșeni, Filia, Tălișoara, and Brăduț. What seemed impossible – to reach all the children with gifts – was made possible through solidarity, donations, and special store discounts.

The community faces major challenges: many children do not attend school or are held back, and Roma families live without electricity, running water, or sewage systems. The journey to school is often 2 km through mud, and the lack of food and warmth makes daily survival extremely difficult.

We distributed the gifts at schools and directly to homes, encouraging children to attend school and continue their studies. We also provided packages with food, clothes, and toys to needy families, bringing joy and hope during the holiday season.

What’s next: preparing gifts for next year, rebuilding a house for a widow with five children, and organizing summer activities for children. Through involvement and solidarity, we are changing lives and bringing hope to forgotten communities.
