Starting October 15th, the Necșești School reopened its afterschool program — a ray of hope for children who long to learn, catch up, and believe once again in their own potential. This season, 11 children take part in activities held every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, where they receive a warm meal and enjoy two hours of educational support. During this time, they work on what they haven’t yet understood in class, in a safe, caring, and encouraging environment.

The program naturally continues the summer workshops, where the children discovered the joy of expressing themselves and dreaming — through drawing, writing, and conversations about who they are and who they want to become. This autumn, the focus shifts toward academic recovery, personal growth, and confidence building.
To track their progress, the program team will carry out periodic evaluations every 1–2 months, using individual observation sheets, comparative tests, and feedback discussions among the teachers involved. The goal is for each child to be seen, heard, and supported in a personalized way.
“At the beginning of the program, the children had an initial assessment. The 11 students involved have the potential to grow beautifully, and these regular evaluations will help us clearly see their progress,” says Mrs. Mădălina Gheorghe, the school principal in Necșești, who dedicates her time and energy to stand beside the children at every step of their journey.
The afterschool program is fully supported by the BibleChat Association, with the help of GEPPETTO CATERING from Roșiori de Vede, Teleorman, which provides the children with warm, nutritious meals each day.

For these children, each school day means more than lessons — it means hope, belonging, and the chance for a different future. In Necșești, change doesn’t come through big words but through simple acts done with love and consistency. And where there is love and faith, education becomes the most beautiful miracle.
