Launching Necșești After-School Educational Support Center

Last December, our team at Bible Chat Charity joined forces with Santa’s Helpers to bring a festive surprise to the Secondary School in Necșești. Every child received a carefully wrapped gift - snuggly winter clothes, fun toys, essential toiletries and sweet treats - that turned the school’s plain hallways into a celebration of joy and wonder. As the children tore open their packages, their laughter echoed off the walls and their eyes shone with excitement. In those moments, hope and encouragement became as tangible as the presents themselves. Carried by that spirit, we returned to Necșești with a far-reaching vision: to build an educational support center that would serve the school and its students well beyond the holiday season. Today, that vision is a reality. The new after-school center boasts bright green desks arranged in collaborative pods, each desk set on wheels to adapt to every activity. Sunlight pours through tall windows, illuminating sturdy wooden bookshelves already lined with dozens of newly acquired children’s titles - from picture books to early chapter adventures. The space feels alive and inviting, a place designed to spark curiosity from the moment you step inside.

Our mission unfolds through four pillars of support

• 1. Academic Tutoring

Qualified volunteer tutors and local teachers guide students through challenging subjects, reinforce classroom lessons and celebrate each academic milestone.

• 2. Nutritious Lunches

A daily hot meal ensures that every child has the energy they need to learn and grow. Sharing lunch in a communal setting also strengthens friendships and builds community.

• 3. Creative Workshops

From arts and crafts to science experiments and drama exercises, hands-on workshops give students a chance to explore new interests, develop problem-solving skills and express themselves.

• 4. Library Services

With a growing collection of age-appropriate books, the center doubles as a cozy reading corner where children can discover the joys of storytelling and independent exploration.

By investing in these comprehensive programs, we at Bible Chat Charity are committing to the long-term formation of each child in Necșești. We believe that true empowerment comes from ongoing encouragement, personalized support and a nurturing environment - far beyond one‐off gifts. This center is more than a room full of desks and books; it’s a community hub where students gain confidence, build essential skills and learn that their dreams matter.

Looking ahead, our goal is to expand partnerships with local educators, develop mentorship programs and continue stocking the library with fresh titles each season. We also plan to track student progress closely, ensuring that our efforts translate into tangible improvements in literacy, numeracy and overall well-being.
