Bringing Joy at Christmas: Open Soul Foundation Partners with Denver Rescue Mission

At Open Soul Foundation, we believe healing begins with dignity, presence, and authentic community. This conviction shapes our monthly giving and local partnerships, including our ongoing support of Denver Rescue Mission’s Youth Program and family services here in Denver.

Each month, Open Soul Foundation contributes to Denver Rescue Mission to help sustain programs that walk faithfully alongside children, youth, and families facing homelessness, instability, and hardship. This partnership reflects our commitment not only to meeting practical needs, but also to nurturing belonging, hope, and long term restoration.

During the Christmas season, Denver Rescue Mission carries forward a beautiful tradition of creating meaningful holiday experiences within its own care communities and programs. Through the dedication of donors, volunteers, partners, and staff, families walking through some of life’s most difficult chapters are reminded that they are seen and not forgotten.

As Denver Rescue Mission shared this Christmas with their donors,

“Because of you, this Christmas, families who seemingly have so little will celebrate Christmas together with the hope that next year they truly will be home.”

One of the season’s most joyful moments is Christmas for Kids at The Crossing. Children gather to take photos with Santa, decorate the Youth Center, and share laughter, music, and the warmth of community. Parents and guardians lovingly wrap gifts for their children, generously provided by caring neighbors and supporters. For families in the Emergency Family Shelter and Bridge programs, these moments offer far more than presents. They create lasting memories and ignite hope during seasons that can feel overwhelming.

1We are continually inspired by Denver Rescue Mission’s commitment to dignity in every detail. From welcoming environments to trauma informed care, their Youth Program and family services provide stability, encouragement, and practical resources while helping young people and parents take meaningful steps toward healing and transformation.

Scripture reminds us, “Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.” (Matthew 18:5, NKJV)

This verse beautifully reflects the heart of Denver Rescue Mission’s work. Every child welcomed, every family supported, and every act of compassion becomes an offering of love to Christ Himself.

At Open Soul Foundation, we believe lasting change is built through consistent presence. That is why our partnership with Denver Rescue Mission is part of our ongoing monthly outreach, not a one time gesture. Together, we are helping create spaces where children feel safe, families feel supported, and hope is restored one relationship at a time.

We are deeply grateful for Denver Rescue Mission’s faithful service and honored to walk alongside them. As we continue this partnership, we hold fast to this promise:

“Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.” (Psalm 41:1, NKJV)

May every child and every family know they are seen, loved, and never alone.
