This July at Pas cu Pas Foundation in Borșa, 25 children spent a week at Vacation Bible School. They filled their days with Bible stories, music, crafts, games and teamwork, and they laughed, played and made new friends. Through all of it ran one simple message: you are not an accident. What they took home was bigger than a week of fun. They learned that God loves them, sees them, values them and created each of them with a purpose.
July at Pas cu Pas was a month of laughter, games and moments the children will carry with them for a long time. For one full week, 25 children gathered for Vacation Bible School. They spent their days learning, playing and growing together, and they found new friends and a new sense of who they are along the way.
The week had plenty of fun. Underneath it ran one simple message that shaped every story, song and activity: you are not an accident. Each child heard, again and again and in many different ways, that they are deeply loved by God, seen and valued, and created on purpose.
Each day brought something new. The children listened to Bible stories and sang together. They made crafts with their own hands and worked in teams on games and challenges. The activities were designed to be interactive, so the children didn’t just listen to the message. They lived it out with each other, through teamwork, through creativity, and through the simple joy of being together.
For children who may not often hear that they matter, a message like this lands differently when it comes with a week of attention, care and belonging. They heard that they were valued, and they felt it in how they were welcomed, encouraged and included every day.

The week was about more than fun, though there was a lot of it. The children left with things that will last. They gained confidence from trying new things, speaking up in a group and seeing their own work come to life. They made friendships that grew through play, shared tasks and a week spent side by side. And they took home hope rooted in the truth that their lives have value and purpose and that God sees them as they are.
Many of the children we serve carry questions about their own worth, often without the words to name them. A week like this gives them an answer they can hold on to. They learn that they matter, not because of what they achieve or where they come from, but because they were made with love and intention.
These are the moments that shape how a child sees themselves. A song remembered, a friendship formed or a single sentence heard at the right time can stay with a child for years. This July, 25 children heard that they are not an accident, and we pray that this truth goes with them wherever life takes them.
