Death is a horrible thought for the majority of us. Until we are forced to think about it, most of us try to avoid it like the plague. Because of the sadness, loss, and dread that accompany death, we avoid thinking about the implications for ourselves and those we care about.
On the other hand, the Bible is rich with teachings regarding death and, more especially, the hereafter. The Bible makes it clear in these verses regarding heaven that it is an actual place and the final resting place for those who trust in Jesus Christ.
When we put our faith in Jesus Christ, we receive the assurance that we will spend the afterlife in His presence in heaven. The knowledge that your loved ones have gone to Heaven and will be reunited with you there brings consolation to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one or who are struggling with the weight of death on their shoulders.
These 25+ verses from the Bible discuss Heaven and the hereafter in a peaceful way.
