25+ Bible Verses About Healing A Broken Heart

Bible Verses About Healing A Broken Heart

Updated At:

May 30, 2025

It is impossible to experience love in a lifetime without also experiencing the feeling of a broken heart. When we truly love, we give those the power to hurt us. It is part of the trust and bond that is created between two people, and though painful, it is a necessary part of life.

Sometimes, our hearts will break because of loss. Loved ones who pass away cause immense grief, something difficult to shoulder for anyone. Other times, it is their willed absence from our life – the departure of a friend, a break-up with a partner. Or, when our trust is broken, our heart can follow due to the betrayal.

A broken heart is painful, but with self-reflection can be overcome and healed. Scripture is filled with verses that guide people through this hardship, helping them find hope, comfort, peace, and strength. We have selected here some verses worth studying when having to deal with a broken heart.
